restoring internal harmony, together.
through healing sound and grounding, gentle movement, rosa guides mindfulness-based practices designed to restore balance to the emotional, spiritual and physical body. her practice is informed by science, and led by the heart.
rosa believes that conscious rest is an access point to greater sustained wellbeing and deeper self-inquiry. by getting still, listening deeply and attuning to our emotional states, we can begin to “hear” where we hold stress in the body. this process is also known as embodiment - an evidence-based practice that fosters a more honest and loving dialogue with ourselves.
rosa’s offerings are designed to support sustained wellbeing, so that we may show up more fully, responsibly and compassionately in the world.
her work is rooted in the belief that the voice, vibration, movement and presence can be accessed to release stored stress, and create space for ease, creativity and personal growth. by harnessing softness, we can expand our emotional resilience and connection to our true selves.
꩜ MODALITIES USED IN PRACTICE ꩜
-
sound healing is an ancient practice of using healing vibrations at strategic frequencies to promote relaxation. sound healing has been shown to help alleviate anxiety, stress, insomnia, and even physical pain through stimulating the parasympathic nervous system.
sound baths are deep, guided meditations featuring instruments such as crystal singing bowls, tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, flutes, rattles and the human voice.
this vibrational medicine medicine allows us to passively access certain brain wave states, theta and beta, that are only normally accessed through deep sleep, and transcendental guided meditation.
-
yin-yoga, also known as taoist yoga, features long-held (between 3-10 minutes) restorative postures, with supportive tools like blocks, bolsters and blankets, to encourage stillness, calm and introspection.
poses are designed to strengthen the connective tissues, or fascia, and open energy centers in the body identified by traditional chinese medicine.
this practice is seen as an antidote to our typically “yang” lives - which center achieving, rushing, producing - and asks us to breathe deeply and find internal quiet. it is rooted in softness and sustainability.
-
breathwork is the practice of intentionally changing breathing patterns to shift our internal state. Benefits of breathwork include lowering stress, improving sleep, boosting mood and increasing immunity.
breathwork techniques used in rosa’s classes are not active, or holotropic, but based in yogic principles to slow down the heart rate and calm the mind.
-
one of our most powerful tools to self-heal and self-regulate is the voice. classes may feature humming, collective chanting and invitations for intuitive sound expression in combination with stretch.

a source of water is also recommended.

this is typically held in a group healing format. some report
a sound bath can last anywhere from 30 - 90 minutes.
-
while sound baths are generally considered safe and relaxing for pregnant women, please always consult your physician or healthcare provider before you attend your first sound bath while carrying <3
-
the only groups given an advisory warning against attending sound baths are folks with pacemakers or other implanted medical devices as the strong vibrations from instruments may interfere with these devices.
